In many companies, hiring a sales representant is considered as additional cost rather than an investment that is intended to contribute to the development of the company. It is often the case that the sales rep. is hired for several months, getting a credit of confidence from his supervisor.
If, during the first months, he “works on himself”, he has a good chance that he will stay with the team for another year. When difficulties arise in achieving results however, disappointment comes out with it. Question then arises – could we prevent it all?
It is extremely important for the sales representant to feel that he is part of the team. A team in which everyone has a different experience, their own opinion, ideas that in their daily work can be different, but they form a strong team. Communication and the pursuit of a common goal is a tool that makes the integration phase to end very quickly and become a part of it.
However, to achieve this, a lot depends on the leader of the team and his strategy, because to sell and be effective in sales is a totally different matter from creating the atmosphere and the spirit of the team.
